Loyalty Cards are back!

We know our regulars have been missing our loyalty cards, and we’re sorry to have been unable to accept them. We had to suspend the cards as part of our pandemic response to help reduce shared touchpoints in our cafés.

We’ve got good news, though: from Monday 23rd November, we’re launching our new self-scan cards. These can be scanned at the till when you pop to the café, so there’s no need for our team to handle them. This means you can collect points again, to spend on more of your favourite Café Ubé foods.

To sign up for a new card, simply pop in to your favourite Café Ubé. We’ll have new cards in envelopes, so you can take out a new card, and write your details on the front. You can then put the empty envelope in our collection box and we’ll register the card to you.

You can start using the card right away, but we’ll need to register it before you can spend any points.

If you have an old card, we can also transfer  the points onto a new one. For us to do this, please just pop the old card inside the envelope when you sign up for a new one.

To sign up, please collect a new card from your local Café Ubé, write your details on the envelope, then place the envelope in the box.

You can keep the card and start using it right away, but we’ll need to register it before you can spend your points. We’ll do this usually within a week once we’ve received your completed envelope.

If you have an old card, you can also transfer the points to a new self-scan card. To do this, please pick up a new card and fill in your details on the envelope, then place your old card inside the envelope before putting it in the collection box.

We’ll then transfer the points over from the old card to your new card. Please note that it will usually take around a week for the points to transfer.

If you have lost your old card, we may still be able to transfer any points you had collected.

If this is the case for you, please write ‘LOST’ on your envelope when signing up for a new card, and we’ll run a search to check for any old cards associated with your email address.

Please note that we might not be able to find your old card if you signed up with a different email address.

You’ll need to let us know the code on the reverse of your old card, the code on the reverse of your new card, and your full name and email address.

Please note that points on any unused cards expire after six months (as per our terms and conditions). We therefore unfortunately won’t be able to transfer points from cards that have remained lost and unused for longer than six months.

We sadly can’t provide pens, as these would need to be sanitized between every use.

We therefore recommend that customers bring a pen along to sign up. Alternatively, you can take the signup envelope away, fill it in, and then return it to the café on your next visit.

If you lose the envelope, you can also get in touch using our contact form to let us know your name, email and card number. We can then register the card to you.

If your card isn’t registered, you won’t be able to spend any points – so don’t forget!
