Start Healthy
2021 is here and although most of us will be pleased to see the back of 2020, it can be hard to know how to make the most of the new year.
With gyms closed, non-essential shops shut, and lots of us still working from home, it might feel impossible to get the year off to a healthy start. But with our range of tasty salads, skinny soups and healthy snacks, “new year, new me” needn’t be a mantra of the past.
At Café Ubé, you’ll find healthy food in our three convenient St Helier locations, as well as at Jersey Airport if you’re heading off on any essential trips. Order and pay online and we’ll have your food ready to go – ideal if you’re working from home and want to quickly pop out for lunch. You can even pick up a few of our Heat at Home products to keep in your fridge: they make great easy dinners if you’re looking for something quick.
Breakfast
Start the day as you mean to go on!
Our popular porridge is a great choice to help keep you feeling full until lunchtime – and with less than 200 calories, it’s ideal if you’re trying to cut back. For something sweeter, try our granola pot: with only 247 calories, it’s packed with crunchy granola, yogurt, and tasty fruit compote.
Snacks
If you need something to tide you over until lunchtime, fruit is a tasty and healthy choice. Try our tropical fruit pot, made with melon, strawberries, pineapple and grapes: plenty of variety, and less than 100 calories.
For those who prefer savoury options, why not give our hummus & crudités a go? Creamy hummus with carrot batons and sugar snap peas to dip – only 156 calories.
Lunch
Warm up this winter with one of our hearty soups.
We’ve always got a skinny soup on our menu as a lighter choice – like our tomato and basil soup, which has just 100 calories in a small cup. Or, if you’re after something a bit more substantial, try our Thai chicken curry: made with coconut milk, lemon grass, spices, and plenty of vegetables, it’s a great way to warm up and eat healthily. It has around 300 calories in a small cup, and will keep you feeling full throughout the afternoon.
Salads are also a great choice if you’re trying to eat better – and they don’t have to be boring. Our vegan Buddha bowl is a rainbow of colour and packed with tasty foods, including falafel, cauliflower salad, chana dhal, edamame beans and veggies. Just 250 calories, and ideal if you’re trying Veganuary this year.
