Café Ubé FAQs and Answers

You can sign up for a Loyalty Card HERE.

A

The JPRestaurants Loyalty Card entitles you to receive points on every purchase you make at Café Ubé which you can redeem against subsequent purchases at any Café Ubé.

You will earn 5 points for every pound you spend on food and cold drinks, and 10 points for every pound you spend on hot drinks. Each 100 points entitles you to food and hot and cold drinks to a value of £1, an equivalent of 5% discount (10% on hot drinks) on all purchases redeemable only in Café Ubé.

This card will also entitle you to a year round 10% discount on all ceramics and gifts at our sister company’s ceramic shop in Halkett Place. Please present your card every time you make a purchase.

In order to continue to receive the benefits as a cardholder, you agree to your current e-mail address being held on the JP Restaurants database and to receive e-mails and newsletters from time to time about our products and services. You may be required on an annual basis to confirm your e-mail address and if you unsubscribe from the database, your card may be withdrawn. Lost cards will be replaced but an administration fee of £10 will be charged. Scheme may be withdrawn on three months notice.

Café Ubé cater for most dietary requirements and our group executive head chef is an expert in the area assisting with staff training and menu development for the whole business. All our cafés offer gluten, dairy, meat and fish free choices including gluten free soups and salads. No gluten-containing ingredient (NGCI) and vegetarian dishes are marked on the menu by a “GF” or “V”. As with all food allergies and intolerances we request that you let our staff know in advance so we can be sure to satisfy your requirements.

The way allergens are labelled on pre-packed foods has changed. The Food Information Regulation, which came into force in December 2014, introduced a requirement that food businesses must provide information about the allergenic ingredients used in any food they sell or provide. There are 14 major allergens which need to be mentioned when they are used as ingredients in a food. The list is as follows:

Celery, Cereals Containing Gluten, Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Soya and Sulphur Dioxide (sometimes known as Sulphites).

We offer online ordering and free delivery in St. Helier via our Online Ordering Page. Not only will you save time ordering with a few clicks of your mouse but you’ll keep your finance department happy by ensuring quicker and easier cost allocation and invoice settlement. You can save orders for future dates or regular meetings and set up order reminders so you don’t let your boss down! You can pay by card or a secure online account which we can set up upon request. Discounts are available for account customers making regular orders. Please visit cafeube.com and order before 9am for same day delivery to St. Helier or pick up at our Colomberie Café. For accounts please contact kitchen@cafeube.com.

Because we make our soup fresh daily there is no legal requirement to label the ingredients. But any member of staff will be able to let you know the full list of ingredients. Please just ask. We also maintain all information relating to allergens in accordance with UK law, even though it is not a requirement yet in Jersey. We can confirm that all soups are low gluten (not made in a gluten free kitchen) and this website (mobile enabled for easy access on the run) has a list of all soups we are serving each week with details of which are vegetarian and gluten free. We also know the provence of all our food and can provide you with information if you’d like to contact our head office via the contact link above.

Gift Cards are available for purchase online and from all of our restaurants (Banjo, Oyster Box, Jersey Crab Shack St. Brelade and Jersey Crab Shack Gorey) and Café Ubé (King Street, Colomberie and Liberation Station).

If you are unable to visit any of the above locations, please click here to purchase a Gift Card online. Your payment will taken for the desired amount and the card will be posted (to Jersey and UK addresses only) free of charge to you/directly to the recipient within 2 working days.

JPRestaurants Gift Cards cannot be purchased via telephone.
